it’s always handy to have a simple script on your website that allows the people who are browsing your site to see how many users that are online. In this post I will be showing you all how to implement such a feature into your website. it takes upt o 5 minutes and then everything is done. The only thing that you need is a mySQL database and PHP enabled on your server (most servers have this enabled by default unless you are having a REALLY crappy host).
Most webmasters can have the problem that some tables aren’t optimized or have overhead. This will cauze your server/VPS to work slower than usual since it can’t use all it’s resources. If you do this command once a week then you should be fine and your databases would stay optimized all the time. Follow the steps below:
1*Login into shell via SSH
2*Do this command (you can change the username if it isn’t ‘root’):
mysqlcheck -u root -p --auto-repair --check --optimize --all-databases
3*Enter the password
4*Sit back and enjoy with getting your databases fixed with a single command =)
This is rather a short and higly important post. I am going to point out some DO’s & Tips you really have to make sure to follow as close as possible if you are interested in making a successfull warez site.
#1 Hosting & Uptime: Hosting and uptime are like the most important aspects your site should offer. Spend time in finding a good host that has a good reputation and a minimum uptime of 99%. If you want to have control yourself you can always get a VPS or a Dedicated Server, this also minimises the change of downtime. A site should be reliable for it’s members; no-one is going to keep visiting a site that has these random downtimes. So always keep this in mind when you waznt to start running a warez site: Top Uptime is needed!
#2 User Friendly: You know the feeling when you type in an URL with the meaning to search for something specific like an application or movie. Then when you come on that site and you don’t have the feeling that you are going to find this item you are looking for you almost immediately close the window. This shows how important it is to have a user-friendly, easy to navigate website if you don’t want to have those 2second visitors.
#3 Limited Ads: This is one of the steps that most webmasters can’t do since all they want it earn $$$ with their site. Well let me tell you that in the beginning it doens’t work like this. Users need to have a good feeling on the site, not like they are just looking at one big advertisement site, the trick is that first of all you need to make the site completely ad-free (well atleast almost no ads!), after that you will see when people like your site without ads that they come back, you gain traffic. After you have got a stable traffic flow you can monetize it by placing small ads or affiliate links or even hardlinks (NO popunders/popups!!).
#4 Quality Content: The easiest way is to just leech downloads of some big warez sites, this is the method that 80% of the warez sites use, they just copy stufffrom another site and thats it. The best thing to do is have your own quality uploads with maybe even password protected with the URL of your site. Once your site get’s discovered people will start copying downloads from your site onto other sites, but this also includes the password of your site so you will get FREE advertising.
#5 Patience: Most warez webmaster think that they will have a kick ass site with massive traffic in no time. Let me tell you that that is very unlikely to happen unless you are having luck. Which almost never happens. So the last pointer is about patience. Getting a populair and high traffic site is all about patience, it isn’t done overnight. Thats why most webmasters fail, because they don’t have the patience to let the site grow.
I might add more hints in the future but im out of inspiration at the moment, had a rough night ^^.
If you follow these instructions you will probably have a good site in the end, if you keep this up your site will most likely become big and thus you will also earn money…not that it’s all about money cauze I have all my sites and It’s just a hobby working on them.

Like every webmaster knows it is one of the most important things to build backlinks. One way backlinks on relative-content sites are very much appreciated by google. Even though if the content isn’t related it doens’t matter Google will still like it.The most important reason to have backlinks is because you will rank higher on the result pages of google; your site will be crawler more and faster since google goes from their site to yours (if the rel=”nofollow” isn’t included).

This is really starting to bug me now, Ive been doing all kinds of SEO, all my keywords are optimized, descriptions are optimized + titles are even SE optimized, now the only thing that is left to do is getting many links indexed in Google. I bought the sitemap generator of http://www.xml-sitemaps.com/ and it seems like it’s a good one!
Making my sitemaps now and I will submit them to Google; if this works to get traffic I will surely write a detailed report about it. But now it’s just me testing it. I was using a dynamic sitemap generator at first but it had too much invalid symbols in it so I think now it will be better since I bought the sitemap generator.
My next goal: Getting many pages indexed in Google. The site I’m going to test this on is www.twilight.ws
Results:
18/01/2008: Results 1 - 10 of about 27,000 from www.twilight.ws. (0.03 seconds)
21/01/2008:Results 1 - 10 of about 27,700 from www.twilight.ws. (0.16 seconds)
22/01/2008:Results 1 - 10 of about 34,600 from twilight.ws. (0.21 seconds)
13/02/2008:Results 1 - 10 of about 43,400 from www.twilight.ws. (0.12 seconds)
13/02/2008:Results 1 - 10 of about 46,800 from twilight.ws. (0.16 seconds)
04/03/2008:Results 1 - 10 of about 108,000 from twilight.ws. (0.04 seconds
02/05/2008:Results 1 - 10 of about 132,000 from twilight.ws. (0.21 seconds)
09/06/2008:Results 1 - 10 of about 199,000 from twilight.ws. (0.19 seconds)
Will be updating this once in a while. I’m using dynamic sitemaps. I’m trying this with several sites, it’s seems to work better on some compared to other sites.
2 posts ago I posted a story about the Google bug that gave the relative new website youtubeforums.com a PR10.
After doing a little research I found out thathis domain has got a RED pagerank! In other words this means illegal.
This could have serious future dissasters if the owner wishes to sell his domain for alot of money! Even I’m very positieve that the owner does not see the harm of this but in the SEO world it goes fast. You sell the domain, BANG , after that you are known as a Blackhatter and avoided everywhere. Just a simple advice
You can check for the Red pagerank yourself at:

This is part one of the x posts I’m going to write about Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) for your website. Most info in this topic can be used to optimize your very own website for Google. Getting good SERP’s (Search Engine Result Pages) is one of the thing that you need to bring in massive traffic to your website! If you control the SEO-knowledge completely you will be able to drive over 50k unique visitors per day to your website just from Google! Ive already seen a few sites do this properly so I am going to try to explain the basics of getting your page listed on an appropriate way onto Google SERP’s.
Today I will look further into the display of your site when a user does a search query from a Google site. As example to explain everything I am going to use StumbleUpon to explain every step of the way!
If you do a search in Google for “stumble” you will get some results;

As you can physically see this listing contains 2 visible blocks of information which the webmaster can modify.
A: This is the title that is showed up on Google SEPR, this is in my opinion the MOST important thing you want to make VERY attractive so that you will have a higher chance that people will click your link.
You can modify the title you want to be listed of Google yourself; just open the file of your website (example: index.html) and at the top you can edit the title to fit your personal needs. You can find the title between the <title>Website title</title> taggs.
B: This is the description that will be present under the title of your website on Google SEPR’s. These 2 lines can be modified by editing the META tags of the file of your site (example: index.html) If we take a look at the page-source of StumbleUpon we can see that in the very beginning we see the following:
<meta name=”description” content=”StumbleUpon discovers web sites based on your interests, learns what you like and brings you more. Discover your web with StumbleUpon.”/>
This means that you can even write the description yourself by adding the following code into your website:
<meta name=”description” content=”Please write a meaningful description of your website here.”/>
And last but not least the invisible C: This is the part that you can’t actually “see” on Google SERP’s but you definitely have to use this feature to get targeted traffic for your site. A little META tag that is going to help us with this are the so-called “keywords”. This is the method that Google used to display targeted results depending on what the user searched for. It is very important to use the RIGHT content-related keywords on your site.
Since StumbleUpon does not have any keywords in their page source I am going to show a fictive example. If you by example own a site that provides Offshore Web Hosting Solutions if would be right to use the the following keywords: “offshore, web, hosting, shared, cpanel, proxy, plans, virtual, private, servers, dedicated, private, ftp, host”. You are free to choose what keywords you put on the site but it’s highly important that they are RELATED to your content. You can add keywords for your website by adding the following code into the website file (example: index.html)
<meta name=”keywords” content=”write down several content related keywords here, separate by a comma” />
From the example keywords this would give us:
<meta name=”keywords” content=”offshore,web, hosting, shared, cpanel, proxy,plans,virtual,private,servers,dedicated,private,ftp,host”/>
Another important META tag that we cannot forget is the Robot’s feature. With this code you direct the Google spiders into what they have to crawl on your site. The best thing is that they will crawl every link on your site. It is recommended to always put this code onto your website:
<meta name=“Robots” content=“index,follow”>
I hope I was able to learn you visitors a few thing and now to round everything up we are shortly going to summarise where you have to place the META tags.
The default HTML-file structure WITH Meta tags included looks like this:
<html>
<head>
<title>Title Goes here</title>
<meta name=”keywords” content=”write down several content related keywords here, separate by a comma” />
<meta name=”description” content=”Please write a meaningful description of your website here.” />
<meta name=“Robots” content=“index,follow” />
</head>
<body>
Content goes here
</body>
</html>

Google has updated the PageRank of websites for the first time in 2008. And first time they immediately showed to one person that their must or could be a bug in their PageRank system. For most people this PageRank went smooth but for others it didn’t go exactly as expected.
For one particular webmaster it was like a new years gift from Internet god. Google updated his website PageRank to PR10. This must have been a bug because this was a fairly new site that wasn’t even over 2 years of age. http://www.youtubeforums.com webmaster , “TimeIsMoney”, didn’t even know what had happened. Although after a bit of research it seemed that at the moment that the PageRank update was going, his site was redirected to Google.com. Due to a bug Google gave his website immediately a PR10.
This leads to the theory that if you create a website yourself, and you redirect it to another website that has got a different PageRank that the PageRank will be carried on onto your website?
This can be confirmed if you look at the following image:

You can see for the result yourself when you paste the following link in your adres bar:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=http%3A%2F%2Fyoutubeforums.com
Since this happened already in 2004 when a “brilliant programmed fooled Google”, this must be a serious programming error in the Reverse Algorithms that they use.
According to this latest PR-update it’s obvious that Google has not yet fixed this serious bug. I found somewhere on the internet how people are able to do this but I’m not posting this here, you can search for yourself as it’s not hard to find. I doubt that the method that those authors mention will really work?
I hope this was an interesting read and feel free to leave comments below and check this site for new updates soon!
